THE WAR BETWEEN GOOGLE+, FACEBOOK, TWITTER, AND LINKEDIN

Social Media War

At this point, I’m saying to myself, “Ok so I updated my Linkedin profile, now I need to post something to it and Twitter, then I need to check in with my friends on Facebook, and get back to Google+.  Finish off by reading whatever social media and other news I can find while I like, share, tweet, pin, etc with all of those accounts. Then I need to think of a new blog post, check Pintrest, or whatever new platform I found.  Then check Google Analytics and other measurement platform I have to see if any of this even made an impact in the first place. Oh $*i@ I forgot to go to the gym!”

Im thinking, its all the same, here we go, BRANDING at its finest and now with social media. It is officially a marketing, public relations, advertising war between these platforms.  They all offer similar things.  After pondering, I think Google+ has an upper hand with the search engine.  Also, not only are the profiles personable like Facebook, but they don’t have the same professionalism that Linkedin requires, while still allowing people to contact and follow personal influence and/or brand.  The best thing is, you can easily control who sees what. There are plenty of others who understand the value and would agree, just ask Mark Traphagen.  I’m personally not used to it completely yet, but I see how it is the best option, until 2013 when GooFaceLInkTweetPinGram comes out.

FML.  Now I not only have to keep up with ALL of them just so that you may see this post and want to do everything I said I needed to do at the beginning of this post. (Nudge, nudge, hint, hint, I’m not telling you to like, share, tweet, +1)  I’m telling you, its WAR!  Who will win?

BTW Im so glad Instagram is just an app.
